Last week, a conflict in Punjab University between two groups affected the academic activities in the varsity. What happened last week was not something new. Violent clashes have been erupted among students in other universities as well. Such activities on the premises of an education institution should be discouraged.
Because of a violent act of two or more groups, universities’ activities got affected, for example, papers are postponed or classes are cancelled. The safety and well being of students in educational institutions should be the top priority of the government. The higher authorities must pay immediate attention to prevent such incidents.
