LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said enough is enough; now the ‘sit-in group’ will not be allowed to play with nation’s destiny. The attitude of the persons doing politics of falsehood, anarchy and allegations has damaging effect on democratic institutions, he said in a handout Friday. The chief minister said a move was being made to influence the journey of national development through plunder, sit-ins and lockdown and even the national interest was jeopardised. In the backdrop of international situation, Pakistan cannot tolerate negative politics in any way. The defeated political elements should therefore realise facts, he added. He lamented that past rulers left no stone unturned to plunder in their tenure and added that persons looting the national resources mercilessly by expanding their network of corruption could not be loyal to the nation.
He said whenever the PML-N came into power, it did the politics of public welfare and national development. Due to our untiring hard work, the country was progressing.
“We shall approach the people in the general elections with a vision and commitment to public service. A mammoth public mandate will be won by the PML-N in the 2018 elections,” he added.
Meanwhile, the chief minister said best quality stents are being provided to the patients across the province, adding that no compromise will be made over the quality of stents for the patients suffering from heart diseases.
It is our commitment to make Punjab an exemplary province with regard to provision of healthcare facilities and every possible step is being taken in the larger interest of people. According to a handout, the chief minister said this while addressing a meeting through video link Friday.
He said a registry mechanism is being devised in collaboration with Punjab Information Technology Board for stents under trace and track system and all the relevant information will be made available including design of stent, purchase, usage and other relevant data.
On the other hand, the chief minister expressed grief over the death of senator Saifullah Bangash. In his message to the bereaved family, he prayed may Allah Almighty bless the departed soul with eternal peace and give patience to the family to bear this irreparable loss.
