ISLAMABAD: A war of words broke out between senior leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Imran Khan's political secretary Awn Chaudhry and Reham Khan, ex-wife of the PTI chief Imran Khan, on Sunday, over the latter’s interview with an Indian channel in which she expressed surprise at the Supreme Court's judgment that gave a clean chit to Imran in a disqualification case.
Awn Chaudhry said in a social media message that Imran Khan will not respond to the 'malicious and frustrated rants' of his former wife Reham Khan. “Reham Khan! My leader will not respond to your malicious & frustrated rantings because he respects women. If I were to open my mouth abt your antics & your misdeeds, you will have nowhere to hide,” Awn Chaudhry said in a tweet.
Reham Khan responded by tweeting, “Abhi tu kuch kaha nahin......” (she'd not made any uncomfortable disclosures yet). Reham Khan had said during the interview that her Nikah with Imran was solemnised on Muharram 07 but Imran chose to hide it for two months.
"The Supreme Court in Pakistan has given him the label of Sadiq (honest) and Ameen (truthful)… I don't know what criteria did the Supreme Court have to allow so much concession to him,” she had stated. She also said that she believes she will have to break her silence over certain things in her knowledge.
